Birch Forest Paint by Numbers Kit

There is no single big field anywhere on this canvas — the forest is built from thousands of small golden leaf shapes, each one its own separate piece.

White birch trunks stripe the scene top to bottom, and between them this birch forest paint by numbers kit glows with Klimt-style gold: mosaic squares and rounds scattered through the autumn leaves, a warm sun deep in the trees.

24 colors suits how flat the forest is — every leaf, bark mark, and mosaic square stays a firm, clean piece in strong gold, green, and deep red. With 36 colors the golds and greens gain more steps, so the wood darkens more gradually toward its green interior.

The work itself is repetition at its most pleasant: leaf after leaf, trunk after trunk, the forest filling in around you as you go.

We recommend the 24-color version for this design.

24 or 36 colors — which version?

It's simply how many different shades the design is painted with. The 24-color version has a clean, classic look and is a little easier to paint. The 36-color version adds extra shades for smoother blending and a more realistic finish. Both come with all the paint you need to complete your canvas — the number is about shades, not how much paint.
