Monet's Boats Lying at Low Tide at Fécamp, 1881 — a large sailing ship left stranded on the shingle when the tide pulled out, its masts and rigging towering against a bright cloud-flecked sky. A rower crosses the wet flats below; the pink-and-blue town lines the harbor behind.

Monet chose an upright format so the masts dominate, all thin diagonals of rigging cutting across the busy sky. This paint by numbers kit puts most of its work into that tangle of lines and the stippled foreground shingle.
