Embracing Couple Paint by Numbers Kit

Foreheads touch, eyes are closed, and everything else on the canvas leans toward that quiet moment.

A bearded man in an olive shirt and a woman in a rust slip dress stand close, with a terracotta sun and sage shapes behind them, in this embracing couple paint by numbers kit on a 16x20 in (40x50 cm) canvas.

24 colors gives the olive shirt, the rust dress, and the beige hills behind them broad, clean planes, with the sun and the sage shape at the edge standing out as bold forms. Step up to 36 colors and the shirt collar, the shoulder, and the hills pick up extra tones, so the light moves more gradually across the figures.

A romantic scene that suits a painter who enjoys warm skin tones and dark, wavy hair, since both figures are built from them. On a bedroom wall the terracotta, olive, and cream sit easily with wood and linen.

Loose curls fall beside her face and his beard follows the line of his jaw, so those edges, along with the small closed eyelids, call for neat painting.

We recommend the 24-color version for this design.

24 or 36 colors — which version?

It's simply how many different shades the design is painted with. The 24-color version has a clean, classic look and is a little easier to paint. The 36-color version adds extra shades for smoother blending and a more realistic finish. Both come with all the paint you need to complete your canvas — the number is about shades, not how much paint.
