Floral Elephant Paint by Numbers Kit

Painting the elephant's ears means working through a dense arrangement of petals and dots. On the 16x20 in (40x50 cm) canvas, this elephant paint by numbers kit pairs a forward-facing portrait with floral ornaments and a golden sunburst.

The fine curves bordering the eyes, along with the narrow shapes inside the ears, demand precise placement to keep the expression and ornament distinct.

With 36 colors, the curved trunk keeps its gradual transitions from cream to brown, and the folds beside the eyes remain softly rounded. At 24 colors, these same forms take on more distinct tonal bands that complement the patterned ears.

The ornamental detail makes this a fitting project for painters interested in elephant portraits and decorative folk art.

We recommend the 36-color version for this design.

24 or 36 colors — which version?

It's simply how many different shades the design is painted with. The 24-color version has a clean, classic look and is a little easier to paint. The 36-color version adds extra shades for smoother blending and a more realistic finish. Both come with all the paint you need to complete your canvas — the number is about shades, not how much paint.
