The teal Japanese bridge and lily pond at Giverny, seen the way a visitor sees it today — through a foreground bank of lupines, alliums, and tall greenery. Monet's setting, but a modern garden view rather than one of his own canvases.

The whole scene is layered green: dappled trees, reflective water, lily pads, with pink lilies and spikes of purple-blue flowers breaking it up. Depth runs front to back, from the sharp flowers up close to the hazy bridge behind.

Detailed throughout. Almost no flat area — the foliage, the flower spikes, and the lily-dotted water are all small shapes. A long, absorbing sit for someone who likes dense botanical work.

The soft green-and-purple palette is calm and garden-fresh — fits a living room, bedroom, or sunroom.
