Monet's Japanese bridge over the water-lily pond at Giverny, from the 1899 series he painted of his own water garden.

The arched footbridge spans the full width of the canvas, willow and dense foliage pressing in above, lilies and reflections scattered across the pond below. It reads as an enclosed, green world — calm and immersive.

This is a demanding paint by numbers project. Almost the entire surface is small shapes: layered greens in the foliage, broken reflections on the water, pale lily blooms. Very little flat area, so expect a long, absorbing sit-down rather than a quick one.

Best for painters who enjoy dense, detailed work and want a recognizable Impressionist scene afterward. The cool green palette settles a room — works in a living room, study, or bedroom.
