Stained Glass Giraffe Paint by Numbers Kit

What gives this giraffe its window-panel character? The stained glass giraffe paint by numbers kit places the long-necked animal among leafy branches, acacia trees, a low golden sun, and blue sky.

It fits a painter seeking a safari animal subject with orderly enclosed sections, because the leaded outlines divide both the portrait and landscape into clear shapes.

On the 16x20 in (40x50 cm) canvas, the giraffe's face and neck occupy most of the height while the savanna remains visible behind it. The mix of warm facial patches and cool sky-and-hill panes favors 36 colors, which keeps more separation through the orange, cream, blue, and violet sections; 24 colors gives those areas broader panes and a stronger graphic rhythm.

The eyes, nostrils, and narrow shapes around the ears require the most precision where several black borders meet. On a pale wall, the finished orange-and-gold giraffe stands out against the blue surround and green foliage.

We recommend the 36-color version for this design.

24 or 36 colors — which version?

It's simply how many different shades the design is painted with. The 24-color version has a clean, classic look and is a little easier to paint. The 36-color version adds extra shades for smoother blending and a more realistic finish. Both come with all the paint you need to complete your canvas — the number is about shades, not how much paint.
