Van Gogh Style Howling Wolf Paint by Numbers Kit

Look up, and the wolf seems to answer the moon. On the 16x20 in (40x50 cm) canvas, a gray wolf raises its muzzle beneath a crescent moon, with a lake and dark pines anchoring this Van Gogh style howling wolf paint by numbers kit.

Layered strokes across the wolf's ruff and shoulders drive the version choice: 36 colors keep more gray, cream, tan, and shadow steps in the fur, while 24 colors form broader, more graphic bands. The blue sky and moonlit water keep their sweeping painted rhythm in either version.

A painter who enjoys dense texture but wants one clear central animal can use the wolf's silhouette as the anchor through the whole project.

The face, ears, and long bands of fur along the neck require precise placement because pale cream, gray, and dark marks interlock around the howl. Larger passages across the rock and lake add broader areas between those concentrated details.

We recommend the 36-color version for this design.

24 or 36 colors — which version?

It's simply how many different shades the design is painted with. The 24-color version has a clean, classic look and is a little easier to paint. The 36-color version adds extra shades for smoother blending and a more realistic finish. Both come with all the paint you need to complete your canvas — the number is about shades, not how much paint.
