The florals belong to the Arts and Crafts tradition: deep burgundy blooms, burnt orange, indigo, cream, all on near-black foliage. That dark ground is what makes the colors glow rather than shout.

The 24-color version gives a bolder, more decorative result and reduces the number of separate shades to track. This design is built for 36 though: the fur alone travels from near-white through tan to charcoal, and the flowers layer many close reds, oranges and blues that need their own numbers to stay apart.
